To achieve a seamless integration in the city fabric, we propose to create a unique identity - nine different volumes inspired by historical heritage of Riga, as if there are nine houses with nine staircases.

The proposal continues Riga’s tradition of the expressive rooflines and volume composition. Each of the nine houses has its own material palette, while the loadbearing structure is rational and repetitive. It is that feeling of Riga streetscapes, where each house has a story to tell.

The street-facing facades of the building are designed to establish a dynamic and distinctive visual identity, merging traditional craftsmanship with contemporary design principles. There is a corner accent, inspired by art deco forms, there are roofline accents for each of the street houses. A range of plaster finishes is utilized to emphasize the interplay of textures and forms.

The gap on Krišjāņa Barona Street creates a visually inviting and vibrant connection, opening the courtyard to the public. The architectural proposal focuses on creating an integrated, inviting space while preserving the overall urban and architectural integrity of the Historic Centre of Riga.
